We only add ceramic shampoo to 1 bucket, this is the soapy solution bucket, the other bucket is the rinse bucket and will only hold water.

Step 1
Fill up 2 car wash buckets and add lukewarm watertill the bucket is filled up to 80%.
Step 2
Add ceramic shampoo (like this one) into 1 of the 2 car wash buckets.
Step 3
Add a grit guard to both of the buckets.
Step 4
Add a microfiber washing mitt (like this one or a chenille washing mitt like this one) to the first car wash bucket with soapy solution.
Step 5
Work in small parts, wash the car from top to bottom. Only make straight lines, we usually do the car in 3 parts, first the top 1/3 then the middle 2/3 and then the bottom 3/3. Rinse the washing mitt in the rinse bucket and extract the water outside of the bucket before reloading it with the soapy solution from the first car wash bucket.
It makes sense because you would not want to bring that dirt back into the shampoo you are using to wash the remainder of your car after using your wash mitt to remove grit and grime.

Three-Bucket Approach
A modification of the two-bucket approach that uses a third bucket specifically for wheels, which are mostly covered in filth and with metal shavings from braking, etc. A three-bucket wash may safely keep a lot of grime off your bodywork, and you may choose to use a heavier cleaning agent such as Wheel Wonder.
One-Bucket Approach
You switch to a new wash mitt, typically each panel, rather than rinsing your wash mitt in a separate rinse car wash bucket. The advantage is that you don't allow dirt to be reintroduced back into your shampoo solution, but doing so comes at the cost of buying and maintaining 5-7 wash gloves for each wash.
